DESCRIPTION:Sounds metamorphose from small to big as Music Gallery OGs The Glass Orchestra bring back beloved glass noises and future proof fills every corner with sound. \nFor the last night of X AVANT XIX: TeXture\, we bring back MG OGs The Glass Orchestra\, the only ensemble in the world that performs and composes with their own glass instruments. Founded in 1977 and entering its 44th year\, the Glass Orchestra continues to explore the ethereal\, expansive\, and percussive possibilities of glass using bowls\, goblets\, tubes\, xylophones\, bells\, and other uniquely designed instruments. \nFuture proof brings in some pedal-mania and ends the night with huge\, avant-groove sounds that rush and wash the whole space. With two beloved Toronto improvisers making small and BIG sounds\, this night is not to be missed. \nIn our gallery space\, Toronto-based artist Michael Fawcett builds a custom\, texture-inspired interactive sound installation that is to be both seen and heard.\nFor more information and tickets\, click here!
