SUMMARY:Music Gallery Presents: X Avant XIX - Diffuse
DESCRIPTION:The spinning of a record envelopes our sanctuary space using the all-new multi-channel ATMOS surround system. \nFor night two of X Avant XIX: TeXture\, sounds scatter around and envelop the Music Gallery as Exit Points takes over the space for the launch of their first vinyl record\, “You Are The Right Length”\, with a 12-channel surround sound listening experience. Recorded performances by 7 Toronto-based improvisation ensembles are diffused live throughout speakers that encircle listeners. \nGayle Young\, Zoma\, and Michael Palumbo will close out the night with live performances that are also spatialized on the surround sound system. The gallery space will also exhibit Exit Points concert photographs by Mike Filippov\, Eugene Huo\, Bryanna Reilly\, and Stephen Humphrey\, and will house a special record shop and vinyl listening booths. \nExit Points is a Toronto-based free-improvisation concert series and record label that brings together listeners and musicians from diverse sonic backgrounds. Each monthly concert creates a unique space for music communities to interact\, resulting in one-of-a-kind performances that are later released as records. \nCurated by Michael Palumbo\, Artistic Director of Exit Points
