The Women From Space Festival 2025 is coming back to 918 Bathurst! 🤘

Bringing bold, edgy vibes within a cocoon of the warmest people this year, they will present 9 mind-expanding performances & 40+ artists over 3 days on March 7-9🤩

The 18-piece all-star Women From Space Big Bang! returns with another ambitious project, commissioning 6 Canadian arrangers to reimagine the extraordinary music of Nina Simone. The Big Bang! features some of the most exciting improvisers in Toronto along with audio-responsive projections by @meghanbcheng ✨

Their local superstars include Plastic Babies (@theartfelthechristineduncan @wire.circus #lauraswankey) with a album release celebration as well as Allison Cameron (@allisonglamouron ), premiering her new project that combines electronics, field recordings, video and audience-made sounds🤩

Beloved Toronto expat, now LA-dweller Mingjia @mingjiamusic will perform a mesmerizing hocketing voice duo with Linnea Sablosky, composed by Meara O’Reilley @mearao 🤗

They are teaming up with the @torontodancetheatre to co-present a set of music-movement improvisation with vocalist Rosina Kazi (@rosinamultiplefutures from @lalforest )and TDT stalwart Erin Poole (@ernie_rin ) as well as pop-experimentalist shn shn (@sh_n_sh_n_ ) with contemporary waacking artist Chantelle Mostacho @chantellemostacho 🤩
