The Colors and Soul of Korea: Dancheong

To commemorate the 2024–2025 Korea–Canada Years of Cultural Exchange, OIS ART OF CANADA, in collaboration with MOOWOOSOO Gallery of Korea, is pleased to present “ The Colors and Soul of Korea- Dancheong”, an exhibition that explores the beauty and depth of traditional Korean art.
This exhibition highlights the artistic value and philosophy of Dancheong, the traditional decorative painting found on Korean architecture, showcasing a wide range of works from ancient craftsmanship to contemporary interpretations.
A total of 11 artists, including master Dancheong artisans and contemporary artists, will participate—offering a unique opportunity to experience the harmony between tradition and modernity.

The Opening Reception will offer a meaningful cultural experience through a talk that explores the history, symbolism, and contemporary relevance of Dancheong—along with performances and refreshments to engage all five senses.
