Music Without Borders proudly presents DIWAN: An Ode to Sufism (“ديوان “عن العشق الإلهي), an original orchestral composition by the brilliant composers Gaby Al Botros & Husam Numan. This captivating performance pays tribute to the mystical essence of Sufism through original compositions inspired by Arabic, Persian, and Turkish poetry.
DIWAN explores the spiritual and divine themes of Sufi poetry, drawing from classical forms and employing authentic Maqam techniques. Through the evocative verses of poets such as Sharif Radhi, Ibn al-Farid, Abu al-Atahiya, and Muhyiddin Ibn Arabi, this concert brings to life the profound beauty and depth of Sufi mysticism, offering an enchanting celebration of its rich cultural and spiritual heritage.
