Things to consider before you make an inquiry to rent 918 Bathurst:
1. We require a Damage Deposit on all rentals
Damage deposits are charged on top of your rental fee, and as long as you don’t damage anything or cause too much of a cleaning hassle, you get it all back promptly after your event.
2. We require your activity/event/organization to be appropriately insured
918 Bathurst is insured, of course, but our policy won’t cover you or your event if someone gets hurt doing your activity. Insurance is not always required, but in situations involving children, alcohol or lots of attendees, it’s a safe bet. Contact us to discuss.
3. We require you to obtain a Special Occasion Permit
If you want to serve or sell alcohol of any kind, you need to go to the AGCO Website and obtain a Special Occasion Permit (SOP). The permit fee and type will be different depending on whether you are giving alcohol for free (say, at a wedding), or if you are selling it (say, at a concert).
4. 918 Bathurst is not wheelchair accessible
Unfortunately, our building was designed in the 1950s, and our spaces are accessed via several short flights of stairs. We do not have an elevator. Please take this into consideration before filling out your Rental Inquiry. We are in the process of raising funds to increase the accessibility of our space and are comitted to making 918 Bathurst an accessible venue.
Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know of dates, expected numbers, hospitality requirements and other needs. We will quickly respond to your request.
