Sunday, July 4th, 2010 from 9:00AM until 4:00PM

SEMINAR LEADER
The seminar was developed and will be conducted by Dr. Howard L. Fromkin, Ph.D. As a Professor of Psychology at Purdue and York Universities, a therapist and consultant. He has published three books and more than 150 articles. For the past thirty eight years, he has designed and delivered more than 15 personal growth seminars to more than 4000 participants. Currently, he is in private practice as a family and addiction counsellor.
SEMINAR CONTENT
The seminar content is drawn from current theory and research in the behavioural sciences and Dr. Fromkin’s personal experiences in twelve step programs and as an addiction counsellor. The seminar focuses on six different, ‘learnable’ thought and behaviour practices. When applied to daily living, the six practices provide individuals with an opportunity to change both the outcomes and their experience of the outcomes of their behaviour. The cumulative effect of implementing on all six practices is most often a sustainable increment in self esteem. Research demonstrates that self esteem increased an average of 30 % for previous participants.
SEMINAR PROCESS
The seminar process involves lecturettes and exercises for each one of the six practices. Participants receive a manual with exercises to be completed between seminar meetings. The exercises guide them through the application of a personal change plan for the adoption of one of the six practices each week.
SEMINAR REGISTRATION
Each seminar will be limited to a maximum of eight participants. Participants will be accepted in order of receipt of their application. Seminar participants will receive a Manual and Workbook.
