Summary of 918 Bathurst Centre

918 Bathurst Centre for Culture, Arts, Media & Education is an 8,000+ square foot, not-for-profit arts centre & special events venue located in Toronto’s vibrant Annex neighbourhood.

The Centre facilitates, presents and provides a nurturing space for projects, classes, workshops, exhibitions and performances that serve the artistic, creative, intellectual, professional and personal development of individuals and organizations in Toronto.

In 2012, 918 Bathurst’s key programming streams include:

Kids Education & Play

918 Bathurst Centre is an ideal facility to host kids educational programming, such as math and art classes, as well as extended creative play activities, such as regular chess clubs, craft-making, and cultural education groups.

Adult Education

The Lower Level at 918 Bathurst is uniquely designed to host Adult Education classes in a variety of fields. In 2010, for instance, we hosted master classes in stage performance; we are developing an ESL adult learner program, as well as running business classes for artists in partnership with the Cultural Careers Council of Ontario.

Gallery 918

Gallery 918 is both a for-rent exhibition space as well as a gallery showcasing curated work selected to promote a variety of cultural initiatives from around our community, Toronto and Canada at large. Contact us for information on current exhibitions.

Physical Development

As a Centre for personal growth, we already host several dance and exercise groups. From Pilates to Zumba, yoga, meditation and Salsa socials, 918 Bathurst believes in the personal and social value of physical development.

Social Services

There are many organizations providing essential services to our community which lack the physical resources to accomplish their missions. 918 Bathurst can help almost any social services group meet the demands of its members.

Special Events

In Toronto, finding the perfect venue for your budget is often impossible. 918 Bathurst is here to help. From dances, plays, weddings, rehearsals, book launches, markets, private events and everything in between, 918 Bathurst is a well-equipped facility to meet the challenges of any event.
