Podium Project

Posted on: Thursday, September 10th, 2009

PODium is a pilot project for young women launched by 918 Bathurst, an inclusive community arts centre based in Toronto’s Annex. Following the community outreach mandate of 918, PODium bridges academia, art, media skills and empowerment through our podcasting program.

The program allows young women who may not have access to digital media and knowledge of creative software programs, to gain valuable experience. Through this program, students explore critical issues in today’s contemporary society, as well as obtain leadership, media literacy and confidence skills. This fall, we are pleased to partner with Central Technical High School.
